Hallelu privacy policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026Hallelu is a daily devotional app published by BUYFROMUS LLC. This policy explains, in plain words, what data the app uses and why.
What we collect
Once a day, when you open the app, it sends only these two pieces of information:
- a random identifier, created on your device the first time the app is opened;
- the date of the day (no time of day).
Once only, the first time you use the app, it also sends whether that first use was opening a devotional or playing a song (just that word, never which devotional or song). Also once, the day you turn on the daily reminder, it sends only the note that it was turned on (never the time).
We use this only for usage statistics, for example to know how many people come back to the app after 30 days. The identifier is not linked to your name, email, account or any other data about you, and it is not used for advertising or to track you across other apps or websites. We do not store the IP address of the connection.
What we do not collect
We do not ask you to sign up, and we do not collect your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or what you read, listen to or save in the app (beyond the first-use word described above).
What stays only on your device
Favorites, text size, contrast and the time of the daily reminder are stored only on your device. The reminder is a local notification scheduled by the phone itself; nothing is sent for it. When you delete the app, this data and the random identifier are deleted.
Where the data is kept
The statistics are kept on Cloudflare's infrastructure, which processes the data on our behalf. We do not sell or share this data with anyone else.
For how long
We keep the statistics for as long as they are useful to understand how the app is used. Because the identifier is not linked to you, we cannot find a person's records by name or email; deleting the app stops the sending and creates a new identifier if you install it again.
Children
Hallelu treats everyone the same, children included: it collects only what is described above (random identifier, date and the first-use word), does not ask for age, name or contact details, and shows no advertising.
